Background:

The biological function of avidin is not known. It is a homotetrameric glycoprotein found in chicken egg white, and forms a strong non covalent specific complex with biotin (one molecule of biotin per subunit of avidin).

Specificity:

Rabbit Polyclonal IgG, affinity purified by Protein A.

Reacts with: Avidin.

Immunogen: Native Avidin.

Storage:

10 mM TBS (pH=7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% glycerol. Store at -20℃ for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
