AR (phospho-S650) polyclonal antibody
Host: Rabbit Reactivity: Human,Rat
BackGround:Androgens exhibit a wide range of effects on the development, maintenance and regulation of male phenotypeand reproductive physiology in males. The androgen receptor(AR) is a member of the steroid superfamily ofligand-dependent transcription factors. ARs bind activetestosterone (T) and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The ratesof association and dissociation of T are about 3 timesmore rapid than those of DHT. This difference in bindingkinetics may account for the different physiological effectsof T and DHT. Androgen binding results in an atleast 6-fold increase in androgen receptor stability.
